West Beach Conference Center

The Conference Center was constructed to replace the existing East Beach Conference Center on Kiawah. Located across the street from Cougar Point Clubhouse, this project is one of the works constructed at West Beach Village.

The site design accommodates three structures within the site: The Conference Center, The Villa Registration, and the existing pool amenity.

The building approach is slightly inclined, giving visitors a glimpse of the ocean. A large lawn is intended for informal congregating, while the adjacent paths connect the Island’s many leisure trails to the site. Several existing Live Oaks were retained in the design or transplanted to the site to create a natural establishment.

As a DesignWorks employee, I participated in the design, construction documentation, and construction administration for this project.
